Privacy Policy

Version 1.0  ·  Effective 30 July 2026

1Who is responsible

Techountant FZC, registered in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, is the data controller for the personal data described here.

This policy is written against UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data. For anything about your data, write to hello@techountant.com.

2This website does not track you

We run no analytics, no advertising pixels and no third-party tracking. We do not set cookies.

The only thing stored in your browser is your light or dark theme preference. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Our hosting provider records standard technical information — IP address, timestamp, requested page — for delivery and security. We do not use it to build a profile of you.

3What we collect, and why

DataPurpose
Name, email, company, messageIf you contact us — to reply and to keep a record of the enquiry.
Billing contact detailsTo issue invoices and send billing notices, receipts and payment reminders.
Card authorisation record — the exact wording you accepted, the date and time, your IP address and browserRequired proof that you authorised recurring charges. Card scheme rules and our payment processor require us to keep this, and it is what we rely on if a charge is disputed.
Payment processor identifiersReferences that let us charge the card you authorised. We never receive or store your card number.
Data inside systems we host for youHeld only so we can run the service. We do not use it for any other purpose.

4Your card details

Card details are entered directly into a form served by Stripe, our payment processor, and travel from your browser to Stripe without passing through our servers.

We hold only references — an identifier for you and an identifier for the authorised card. We cannot see your card number, and neither this website nor our internal systems ever store it.

5Who else processes your data

We use a small number of providers, each only for the purpose listed:

  • Stripe — payment processing and card storage
  • Vercel — hosting for this website
  • Our own infrastructure — hosting for client systems and our business records
  • Email delivery — sending invoices, notices and receipts

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising.

Some of these providers operate outside the UAE, so your data may be processed abroad. We use established providers that offer contractual protection for international transfers.

6How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while relevant and then deleted. Billing records, invoices and card authorisation records are kept for as long as UAE accounting and tax law requires, and for as long as a payment could still be disputed.

Data in systems we host for you is kept while your service is active. After cancellation you may request an export, and we will delete it on request unless we are required to retain it.

7Keeping it secure

Access to billing and client systems is restricted to people who need it. Payment credentials are held by Stripe rather than by us, which removes the most sensitive category of data from our systems altogether. Sensitive configuration is stored encrypted.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will tell you and the relevant authority as required by law.

8Your rights

Under the PDPL you may ask us to:

  • tell you what personal data we hold about you, and give you a copy;
  • correct anything inaccurate or out of date;
  • delete your personal data, where we are not required to keep it;
  • restrict or stop processing it;
  • transfer it to you or another provider in a usable format;
  • stop sending you billing notifications;
  • withdraw a consent you previously gave, including your card authorisation.

Write to hello@techountant.com and we will respond within the period the law allows. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the UAE Data Office.

9Withdrawing a card authorisation

You can cancel a card authorisation at any time by emailing us. We will stop charging the card and remove the stored card reference.

We keep the record of the authorisation itself — the wording, date and time — because we may still need it to answer a dispute about a charge already made. Amounts already invoiced remain due.

10Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will tell you. The version and date at the top show which version applies.
